Brazed plate heat exchangers are specially-designed corrugated brazed plates that are used to increase the heat transfer coefficient and lower potential fouling. Standard plate arrangement forms two independent circuits running in alternate layers. The two fluids will flow in opposite directions (counterflow) to further enhance the exchange of heat. Brazed plate heat exchangers are bonded in a vacuum furnace and helium pressure tested to ensure leak-free performance.
